Even as communication partners support AAC learners, we are AAC learners ourselves. Learning about communication & language, developing competencies with technology, honing our skills with practice, and establishing habits of use each play a role in shaping our journeys toward more connected and meaningful interactions. Building community around our AAC learners also shapes our paths. This series will explore these 5 intertwined elements of communication partner learning: knowledge, technology, skills, habits, and community.Week 4 will review and integrate the 5 elements of communication partner learning, into individual action plans to support AAC learners and their teams.
