
This class will provide an overview of the free PASS software from PRC that allows you to run various language configurations (Unity, UNIDAD, CoreScanner, LAMP Words for Life, WordPower, Essence) on your Windows computer, all without having to use a device. Participants will learn how to download the software, set-up a language configuration, and create a vocabulary back-up as well as transfer vocabulary files between an Accent device. Participants will see how quick and easy it is to make a variety of supports and implementation materials using the Write with Icons feature. Parents, teachers, speech-language pathologists, and anyone who supports individuals using PRC language systems and would like to learn how to make materials for activities will benefit from this class.
Learning Outcomes:
Explain what PASS software is and how it can be used to support PRC language systems on speech generating devices
Download PASS software to a Windows computer
Describe how to back-up/transfer vocabulary files on PASS software
Give examples of at least 4 implementation materials that can be made using PASS software
