This three-hour class will give participants an overview of access method options in AAC. Using case studies, the following access methods will be reviewed: touch, NuPoint (cursor is controlled by head movement), Look (cursor is controlled by eye gaze), and one/two switch scanning. Through demonstration, videos, and audience participation attendees will learn about vocabulary, hardware, and software considerations when setting up an alternative access method for an individual.
