This 60-minute training will highlight use of the Accent speech generating device with IOS devices. Participants will learn how to set up Siri on an iPhone to recognize voice commands from an Accent device, as well as customize commands to meet their client's needs. Examples are shown in the Essence vocabulary but you can use Siri with any of the PRC vocabularies and speech generating devices.
You will learn how to:
1) Locate a list of updated Siri commands to customize devices
2) Set up Siri to recogniize voice commands from the Accent device
3) Customize commands to meet individual needs.
Hands-on participation is encouraged and attendees will benefit from having an Accent device and iPhone available to follow-through with the presenter. This session is intended for speech-language pathologists, educators, and others who support individuals using the Accent speech generating device.
