LaConda earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Mater of Arts degree in Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation, from Murray State University. LaConda holds a Speech-Language Pathology Assistance license through the AZ Department of Health Services, is nationally certificated as therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS), is a member of ASHA's Special Interest Group 12 (AAC), ArSHA, and an ArSHA AAC committee member.
LaConda found her passion for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) while working in public education where she implemented AAC throughout classroom activities. Her goal as an AAC consultant is to support, educate, and empower individuals with complex communication needs to maximize their communication potential in all areas of their lives.
