Dawn has been practicing speech language pathology for over 10 years. She received her Bachelor in Communication Disorders from the University of Florida and her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her career has focused on treating individuals with multiple disabilities, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Developmental Delay. A significant amount of her career has focused on implementing augmentative communication with a variety of patients. Dawn most recently served as the Augmentative Communication and Assistive Learning Clinic Coordinator at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The clinic was a multi-disciplinary team that provided evaluations and recommendations for low tech and high tech augmentative communication. Currently, Dawn is working as an independent contractor providing therapy and augmentative communication services.
