PRC-Saltillo CEO Dave Hershberger cuts the ribbon!

PRC-Saltillo celebrated the completion of its recently renovated headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Special guests included Wooster Chamber of Commerce (WCC) President Samira Zimmerly along with Katie Foster, Laurent Behrendsen, and Michelle Rothgery from the WCC as well as PRC-Saltillo Ambassador Brad Whitmoyer.

"We're thrilled to finally complete the renovations, and for the company to be under one roof," said CEO Dave Hershberger, referring to welcoming the personnel from the company's Millersburg office to the Wooster location. "It's been our goal to be one company, together, and the renovations mean that now we can take advantage of the strengths of both the PRC and Saltillo brands and emerge better than ever."

In 2018, Hershberger, formerly the CEO of sister company Saltillo, was named CEO of Prentke Romich Company. Under his leadership the two companies formally merged, becoming PRC-Saltillo, as "one company, two brands." The merger allowed the company to consolidate operations and take advantage of economies of scale.

"We had hoped to hold an open house for our celebration; however, COVID-19 considerations have delayed those plans until it’s more feasible to do so," said Hershberger. "But we're looking forward to when we'll be able to open our doors, thank the community for their support and welcome everyone to see our new facility."

The construction was done by Ivan Weaver Construction, and took approximately 2 years from planning to completion. Changes to the building included the addition of new office spaces, additional conference rooms, an expanded production area and floors added to previously open spaces, adding available square footage.

In addition, the interior underwent a makeover, with new paint and flooring, as well as the addition of a historical display in the lobby chronicling the company’s history since its founding in 1966.

"Despite current events, we look forward to the future of the company – and the Wooster region – with a great deal of optimism," said Hershberger. "Our mission has been and will continue to be the same tomorrow as it is today: Giving a voice to those who cannot speak. And now, we can do it, together."
