We will discuss theories of language acquisition, review early stages of morphological and syntactic development, discuss progress monitoring and re-evaluation of AAC users, and consider AAC user perspectives. Case studies will be presented for group discussion. Participants should come prepared to discuss questions they have about long term language development in AAC communicators.
