During our third and last live, online AAC Pro Coaching Clinic meeting, we’ll review the strategies of expansion and recast. Through group discussion and demonstration, we’ll reflect on our experiences modeling with these techniques and share any struggles or successes we experienced. As we review the Language Stages in the AAC Language Lab, discussion will focus on why it is critical to have an understanding of your AAC learner’s expressive language and how that impacts your use of these two modeling strategies. We will also spend time reviewing the other communication partner strategies we’ve learned and allow time for reflection and feedback as participants share their next steps for supporting their AAC learners.1.
