AAC for Adults with Acquired Injury or Illness: What Are My Options?
This one-hour class will focus on augmentative alternative communication (AAC) solutions for adults who have an acquired an injury or illness that has impaired their ability to use speech to communicate effectively and efficiently. This class will look at the system features, vocabulary options, and access methods available from PRC for this patient population. Specifically, this course will highlight Essence and WordPower language systems, as well as, NuEye and NuPoint cursor control technology. Practical examples and materials will be used throughout the class.
Devices are not required for this training.
This training is intended for SLPs who are screening, supporting, and evaluating individuals with AAC needs.
