Quick Reference Guide to Unity Icons
The Quick Reference Guide to Unity Icons provides information about Unity icons in all the current PRC language applications. The guide shows core key layouts with charts giving icon names, language concepts, and rationales for each icon. Download the guide as a Microsoft Word Document (Microsoft Word .doc) or Adobe Reader File (Adobe Reader .pdf).

MEville to WEville
MEville to WEville is a curriculum program from AbleNet, which was specifically developed for students with disabilities who have difficulties learning to read and write through traditional instructional methods. Designed to build a classroom community that promotes a sense of belonging, each unit offers students a new and different perspective on themselves, their families and their school. PRC has developed a supplement to AbleNet program that allows the Vantage or Vanguard user to participate in and learn language from the Weville learning activities using their communication device. This product can be purchased with the Meville to Weville Curriculum Guide and PRC Supplemental CD, or if you already own the Meville to Weville Curriculum from AbleNet, you may purchase the PRC Supplemental CD seperately.

Transitioning Toolkit
Transitioning an augmented communicator to the next level of communication and the next level of communication aid is one of the most common AAC challenges for clinicians, teachers and parents. A new Transitioning Toolkit is now available from PRC to guide and support the transitions process.

The Transitioning Toolkit is available for $49.95 and includes print materials plus a CD-ROM that allows clinicians to make copies of the more than 80 materials for use with multiple clients. Unity Enhanced for Writing With Symbols 2000
Now owners of the popular Writing With Symbols 2000 software, distributed by the Mayer-Johnson Company, can add the Unity Enhanced vocabulary to their word lists. Authored by Bruce Helmbold, this addition to WWS2000 allows therapy and support materials to be generated easily.

Use the symbols to:

• develop cheat sheets, handouts, and worksheets;
• create "word strips" to adapt and enhance reading materials;
• enlarge icons and text sizes;
• write a symbol-based journal.

Singing-To-Talking With Minspeak
This songbook is a result of Gail's experiences using music to teach Minspeak. It is a collection of 37 songs used to teach language concepts and their associated Minspeak icons. The songs can be used with both children and adults of all abilities. Each song focuses on key words and concepts with icon sequences from the Unity 128 program. Take-Care of Technology
This is an AAC device record book. It is a MUST for parents, therapists, or other device managers to maintain accurate records on a specific AAC device. It provides forms for you to record information pertinent at the time of purchase (e.g., warranty coverage), on-going records (e.g., upgrades, memory transfers), contacts with technical services and device repairs. Unity Icon Adventures
This is a curriculum for teaching Unity128 using reading, writing, and other normal classroom activities. Each Unity Icon Adventure focuses on one Unity icon and the core words coded with that icon. The learning activities were developed for classroom teachers to incorporate with the entire class as a language arts curriculum.

Minspeak Activity Scripts
Minspeak Activity Scripts provide strategies for teaching Unity Enhanced, Unity 84, and Unity 128 in 10 everyday activities and environments. Each Activity Script provides an activity guide to help coach the communication partner and a color-coded vocabulary chart, laid out like a manual communication board, to help in vocabulary selection and sentence production. A must for training communication partners in use of Unity128.

Therapy Materials from Awakening Technology Products
Katherine Lewis began her experience with AT and AAC as a Special Education Teacher at a local high school in 1991. She broadened her experience as the Consumer Support Specialist for the Hawaii Assistive Technology and Training Project. For the past 6 years she has been an Assisitve Technology Consultant for the Dept. of Education and more recently for the Special Education Dept in American Samoa. These books were created to address the many requests from SLP's, teachers and parents for materials to assist in teaching the Unity program, and to help nonverbal students learn to read. Therapy Materials from Jo Crawford-Schock & Tracie Spoeneman-Hrnicek
Jo Crawford-Schock, M.A., CCC-SLP and Tracie Spoeneman-Hrnicek, M.S., CCC-SLP created T.A.L.K. (Teaching Adults and Children Language and Kommunication), a systematic approach to give the SLP a guideline for teaching vocabulary and language. The approach builds language patterns using developmental sentence structure. This workbook can be used as a teaching strategy with a person who uses a language-based communication device or with someone who has a language impairment.
