Over and Under and Inside Out! Print
Using a variety of activities such as blocks, boxes, toy vehicles and books, you will be identifying and labeling prepositions.

Materials:

Blocks
Boxes
Toy vehicles
Toy bear, doll
Variety of children's books describing prepositions such as:
- "Let's Go On a Bear Hunt" (Colgin, 1982)
- "Inside, Outside, Upside Down (Berenstain, 1968)
- "London Bridge" (Simon, 1985)
- "Noble of New York" (Beall & Nipp, 1979)
- Mercer Meyer Books

Objective: Using an augmentative device, the student will demonstrate the understanding and use the targeted prepositions with others independently and effectively.

Target Vocabulary:
Prepositions: in/on, under/above, over/under/ in back of/in front of, off/ on, upside down, inside/outside, through, toUsing a toy, animal, or vehicle, prompt the student to put it in, out, on off, under, etc.

You can also ask the student questions:
Sample Words and Phrases:
- Where is the car now?
- Where is the plane going?
- Is it over or under the cloud?
- Tell me where to put the car.
- Tell me where to put the plane.
- Show me up, down, on, over, under, through, in
- Where is he going?
- Tell me where to put the bear.
