Fun with Descriptions Print
1. Participants learn to say describing words.
2. They learn pronoun-verb phrases.
3. Participants are shown a picture or given a name of a famous person or character. The first to make up a sentence about him or her scores a point. Play until a pre-set number of points is reached.

Materials: Pictures of famous people and/or cartoon characters.

Objective: Put a pronoun-verb phrase together with a describing word to make up a sentence about a person or fictional character.

Target Vocabulary: She is, he is, it is, she has, he has, it has, big, little, old, young, rich, tall, thin, shy, pretty, beautiful, ugly, red, yellow, blue (other color words), nose, mouth, eyes, hair (other body parts)

Sample Words and Phrases: She has red hair. He is yellow. She has a big mouth.

Adaptations:
1. For team playing with typical speaking peers, allow extra points for the AAC speaker.
2. Score a point for any whole sentence. Score extra points if the sentence actually describes the subject.
3. Allow players to pass on a subject if they don’t know the character.
