Reinforcement of Target Vocabulary Print
For an older individual using a DeltaTalker™, Liberator™, or Pathfinder™, here is one technique for reinforcing target vocabulary. Make a list of the target vocabulary. Be sure the Icon Tutor is turned on. For practice, ask the individual to use Spell Mode to enter the word in the device. This will trigger the Icon Tutor, from which they can learn the icon sequence for that word.

Tips for Transition from Static to Dynamic Display Print
Are you feeling challenged at the thought of how to transition an augmented communicator who as been using a static display such as that on an AlphaTalker™ to the dynamic display on a SpringBoard? After replicating the static display on the SpringBoard, using “Import Icons” if necessary, consider creating a paper copy of the SpringBoard display, and place it on the SpringBoard screen under the keyguard. As the user acclimates to the new device, the paper overlay can be removed. The paper overlay can continue to be used as a back-up system for activities such as swimming.
