My DeltaTalker is not Speaking; What can I try?

1.      Check and make sure speech is on by pressing the lower left corner key.  This is a toggle function and when selected, you should see Speech On and Speech Off appear on the bottom of the display.  Add text to the display.  Turn on Tools then activate key A7 to Speak Display.

If no change, continue;

2.   Change voices in the DT by going through Tools to the Speech Menu.  Select Next menu Item twice to see voice options.  Select Exit then select a message.

If no change, continue;

3.   Hit reset button under the right back door.  The reset button is inside the door to the right and is usually black.

If no change, continue;

4.   Try a 3 corner reset;  First, plug in the battery charger!  Then press and hold the reset button on the back. While holding down the reset button, press and hold any 3 of the 4 corner keys on the keyboard.  Release the reset button first, and then release the 3 corner keys. You should see the ERASE light come on. When the light goes off, you should be able to reprogram the unit.
