The drop-down menus on the Eco device are accessed by selecting the menu key positioned to the right of the status keys.

Click on the menu button to see the list of items you can change.

The first six items in the list open what is called a “tabbed properties sheet.” This is what you see after choosing the “Colors...” option from the Eco.

Clicking on any of the other tabs will switch you to that set of properties.
The User Areas sub-menu gives you three choices: a sub-menu to switch to one of six User Areas, a way of replacing a User Area, and a summary of the settings for the current User Area.
Open User Area: Shows sub-options are the MAPs stored in the six User Areas typically access via the Toolbox key CHOOSE OVERLAY MENU followed by Switch User Area.

Replace User Area...: Opens up a box from where you can select any of the default vocabularies (or blank configurations) in the device.

This corresponds to the Toolbox keys CHOOSE OVERLAY MENU followed by Overlay Menu. Notice that there is a scroll bar on the right-hand side to let you browse through all the defaults. Remember that choosing one of the options will replace the current area.
Current Area Settings...: Shows the current area settings via the Properties Sheet that contains information about all the parameters for the MAP in this area. This includes information about Access Method, Auditory Prompts, Colors, Feedback, Output, and Voice.
This opens up a window with all the features needed to configure Vocabulary Masking. You also can use this window to turn masking on and off, allowing a clinician to focus on specific vocabulary items for a short period of time but then switch back to having the full vocabulary available. For more details on Vocabulary Masking, refer to the Vocabulary Masking page.
Switches to the standard Toolbox. All changes made in the Toolbox are reflected in the Properties Sheet and vice versa.
