Mounting NuEye on the Accent

Before you begin:

If you have had your Accent mounted on a table stand or wheelchair, you will need to remove it table stand or wheelchair mount, and you will need to remove your mount (such as the QRM2) and the mounting plate from your device.

In the Bag:

Note:  You will need a Phillips screwdriver.  

Gently place your device face down on a flat surface.

Lift up the wire table stand.

Remove the Eyegaze Mounting Bracket and the four silver screws from the bag. Keep the screws and a screwdriver near by.

Hook the large black mounting bracket under the bottom of you device and lay the bracket flat on the back of your device.

Hook bracket under device and press top of bracket into place on back of device. You will probably have to push/hold the bottom of the bracket in place until you get one of the screws in at the top of the bracket. See photo below.

Use the small silver screws to secure the bracket to your device. It helps to screw in one corner, then do the opposite corner.

Add the Eyegaze Unit

position the NuEye and align the screws

Place the eyegaze unit into the cradle. You want the back of the unit to face you. You will see a label and the USB cable will be on your left.

Use the larger black screws to screw secure the eyegaze unit on the bracket. PRC NuEye Tracking Manual

Now you can add a tablestand or wheelchair mount to the bracket.

Plug in USB cord and tuck in wires.

Plug the NuEye USB cable into one of the USB ports on your Accent. Wrap the cord along the side and under the mount as shown above.

The eyegaze unit is ready to use.
