How do I turn my PCS Symbols On in Pathfinder?

NOTE: PCS Symbols are an option that must be purchased for your Vantage or Vanguard. If you did not purchase PCS Symbols at the time you ordered your device, see the IMPORTANT NOTE at the end of the article.

To Turn your PCS Symbols On

1. Activate the STATUS key twice (on the left of the display). This will open the Systems Menu.

2. Select the Maintenance Menu key.

3. Select the More Items key until you see Enable PCS Symbols.

4. Select Enable PCS Symbols to change your choice from OFF to ON. Select OK to exit the menu.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you did not purchase PCS Symbols for your device:

When you select Enable PCS Symbols you will see a yellow message box asking you to call the PRC Sales Department and the phone number to dial. You will also see a key code.

Jot down the phone number and key code. Select OK.

You will see a screen that says, "Enter password."

Once you have called PRC and purchased the PCS Symbols, a PRC Sales associate will provide you with a password.

If the Enter Password screen is still visible on the Pathfinder display, type in the password you received and select OK. The PCS symbols are turned on automatically.

If the Enter Password screen is not visible, repeat steps 1-3 and then enter your new password and select OK. PCS symbols are turned on automatically.
