Using the Mouseless Browser Tool in Mozilla Firefox on ECO.

Mouseless Browsing (MLB) enables you to browse the web entirely with the keyboard instead of a mouse, making the internet much simpler for scanners and Headpointer users. The basics: small boxes with unique ids were added behind every link, so when you type in the id number it triggers the corresponding action such as taking you to a webpage link or taking you to a selected text field.

The below example of Mouseless Browsing is using the Unity 84 Sequenced overlay:

Your device came equipped with Mozilla Firefox as one of your default Internet browsers.  To open Firefox select the Computer icon in your activity row. Computer icon in the activity row. next select the Internal computer icon. Internal computer icon found under Computer activity.

Here you will find the Firefox icon. Firefox Icon once selected you will be taken to the Firefox Menu page where you will now see the Firefox Start icon.

Select the Firefox Start icon and you will now see a Firefox internet window appear above the 2 rows of the Firefox Menu page in the ECO software.

You will notice that the internet is open to the Prentke Romich Home page and you have small numbers beside each option and page link.

Select the key in your Firefox Menu page labeled MLB Mouseless browser page link key. to open your mouseless browser page. The keys in your MLB page are programmed using the hold.ctrl command before the number or function keys to allow them to work with mouseless browsing.  Regular spelling and number pages will not work with mouseless browsing.

Type in the number of the link you want to go to then select the Enter key.  We chose the number 8 key then pressed enter to go to the Product Support site.

A USB keyboard may also be used if you choose not to use the ECO software.
