Troubleshooting the Bluetooth Adapter with Springboard Lite.

Paired and Connected

When paired and in range the blue light will be steady on the Bluetooth Adapter when plugged into the computer.

If you Lose a Connection

Losing a connection between the Bluetooth Adapter and an AAC device usually means you have moved the device out of range.  The blue Adapter light will go out when the device is out of range.

If the connection is lost

When the AAC device comes back in range, it will begin to search for the BTS

Move the device back into range and the blue LED will come on again and stay lit.

If the Bluetooth Adapter is unplugged from the computer

Any connection will be lost.

Plug the Adapter  in and turn the Bluetooth Adapter back ON.

You may need to enter the Paired Devices option in the Output Menu to establish the reconnection.

Disconnecting

With your AAC Device:

If you select "Disconnect" from the Output menu in the Vantage Lite, the Bluetooth Adapter will remember that it was last paired with your AAC device.  Your BlueTooth Status will now read Paired, Not Connected.

You will have to go to the Paired Devices option  in the Output menu on the  AAC device the next time you want to use them together and select PRC BT ADAPTER from your options.  You will then receive a yellow box that says CONNECT TO DEVICE?  Select YES and you will be reconnected.  Select OK to exit and you will see in your BlueTooth Status window Paired, Connected

 Unpairing to the BlueTooth Adapter

To use another BlueTooth source, you will want to first unpair from the BlueTooth Adapter.  Enter the Output Menu and select Paired Devices, now select the Unpair key then select the PRC BT ADAPTER. Select OK to exit.
