Using the Impulse Switch with ECO.

Your ECO must be an Integrated Device (Windows activated)  in order to use the Impulse Switch since specific drivers must be loaded on the Windows side of the device for the switch to be used.

 

Here are the steps for making the Impulse Switch work with the ECO-14.
1.      Turn on ECO-14 with a USB Keyboard plugged into one of the USB port on the right side         of the device.
2.      Once the ECO software has started, press the number 6 key (assuming you are using UNITY) and go to the Windows Desktop.  The ECO/Unity software should be minimized to the toolbar.
3.      Using the USB keyboard, press ALT-F4 to close the ECO/Unity software.  You now see   the Windows Desktop.
4.      Insert the disk for the Impulse Switch.
5.      Follow Instructions for installation of the Impulse Switch.  You will install both the IMPULSE software and the Toshiba Blue Tooth Stack. Take note of the file where the software is saved to.  You will need to know where to find this software for Step 10.
6.     Once installation is complete, remove the disk.
7.      Shutdown Windows
8.      Turn your ECO back on.
9.      Once ECO has restarted, go to the Windows Desktop – by pressing the #6 User Key.
10.     Start the Impulse software.
11.     Follow Instructions for Pairing and Calibrating Impulse Switch.
12.     Go to Advanced Settings
13.     Change "Simulated Actions for Primary Activation" to Left Click - select the check box.
14.     Set Impulse Switch to "Start with Windows"
15.     Press Close
16.     Impulse Switch should be working properly at this point in the general Windows Interface.
17.     Return to the ECO software, by pressing User Key #6
18.     To make the impulse switch work with Scanning (Other access methods are going to require a minor software modification to work consistently)
19.     Go to Toolbox, select Access Method Menu, and then Choose Access Method
20.     Select 1 Switch then choose desired 1 switch scanning technique'
21.     Turn ON "Use Screen as Switch"
22.     Press OK
23.     Return to Unity and you should be able to scan with Impulse Switch.
