What is the Proper Way to Shut Down the ECO?
What is the proper way to shut down the ECO? The “proper way” is still to use the I/O button since it is faster. But it recommended that a full shutdown be preformed regularly (once a day/week). The Shutdown Windows setting is located in the Maintenance Menu. This clears the buffers and removes any clutter that may be causing problems.
This is best done in the evening before charging overnight. When the unit is turned on the next morning, it may take an additional 1-2 minutes to boot the unit up.
When turning the ECO off with Shutdown Windows, the unit must be turned back on using the I/O button. A switch will not power the device back up.
NOTE: If you power down every day using the I/O button, this can compile rubbish files and back fill with components that may cause lock ups and errors.
While using the device during the day, it is OK to use the I/O button or allow the device to Auto Power Down. If you experience a problem with the device, try Restarting Windows, also located in the Maintenance Menu
