Storing the Vantage Lite for an Extended Period of Time.

If your AAC device will not be used for an extended period, such as over summer break,  you can extend the life of the battery pack by doing the following:

For all  Vantage Lites:

Fully charge the batteries in your device. When the batteries are fully charged, remove the battery door and unplug the battery pack connector.  You may leave the unplugged battery pack in the device. 

When you are ready to use the device again, re-connect the battery pack and fully charge the device.

 

NOTE:  You may want to put a small note on the device so you remember that the battery pack is unplugged and to plug it back in when you return to use it.
