How do I Install a New or Spanish Software Card into the SpringBoard Lite?

MEMORY TRANSFER: If you have made extensive changes to the vocabulary in

your device and you want to save it, perform an MTI before you continue with this

software update. Instructions for performing a Memory Transfer can be found here:

Note: Before you begin the new software update: unplug your battery charger if it is

plugged into your device!

Gently place the SpringBoard Lite face down on a flat surface.

Unscrew the two screws that hold the battery door onto the case.

This is a picture of the back of the SBL.

Remove the battery door. Keep the screws and the battery door nearby.

This shows the battery pack in place in the SBL.

Unplug the battery pack and lift it out of the case so that it is in the same position as it was in the case.

This shows the battery connector removed from the SBL.

Remove the battery door from the case by lifting it up and out.

Remove the old system software card by pulling on the piece of tape on the end of the

Card, taking note of what side is up.

This shows the Software Card installed in the SBL.

Set the old card aside. Find the new software card that came with this update. Insert the

new card in the card slot as you see in the picture above. The side with the CE mark

should be facing up.

Insert the new software card all the way into the card slot.

Replace the battery pack and plug in the batteries. Push the wires down between the

battery pack and the case so the battery door will fit back on.

Reattach the screws.

Turn device on and press the reset button on the back of the device.

This shows the location of the reset button on the SBL.

The device is now ready for use.  You can either load your vocabulary back into the device via the Transfer Memory Menu or start programming your SpringBoard Lite.
