2-Switch Scanning Using the Bluetooth Switch and the SpringBoard Lite.
In order for the Bluetooth Switch (BTS) to work with a communication device, the device must have a PRC Bluetooth Module installed in it.

The PRC SpringBoard Lite™ has an optional Bluetooth Module you can purchase and plug into the SpringBoard Lite.
The Bluetooth Switch comes set up for 1-switch and 2-switch scanning with an AAC device. You do not have to change Switch Modes on the BTS.
You will also receive a shielded Y cable for use with a second switch for 2 switch scanning.

This cable has a red and black receiving end. Plug your second switch into the Red/Ring connector. Now when scanning, your Bluetooth switch becomes the Scanning switch and your second switch becomes your Select switch.

The switch port on the side of the Bluetooth Switch allows you to send signals for an additional 1 and/or 2 switches. If you plug a Dual Switch into this port, you can either use it as a single switch, as a Select option for 2 switch scanning, or as a wireless Dual Switch sending your signal through the Bluetooth Switch.
Setting up the Communication:
1. Turn the BTS ON by sliding the I/O switch up
2. Turn the AAC device ON.
3. Go to the Toolbox on the SpringBoard Lite.
4. Select the ACCESS METHOD MENU.
5. Select the 2-Switch option from the Access Method menu. Select any other 2-switch setting preferences you want from the menu.
6. Select the Bluetooth Switch key.
You See:
7. On the Bluetooth Switch press the Pair button.

The green LED next to the I/O icon on the BTS will begin to flash.
8. On your AAC device press the Pair with Switch key.
Follow any directions on your AAC screen.
When you see the key below on your AAC device, the pairing is successful. The green LED will light steadily on the BTS.

Notice the key also displays the amount of battery power left in the Bluetooth switch.
9. Select the OK key twice to exit each menu
10 Select the GO TO HOME key in the Toolbox to go to your overlay.
11 You can now use the BTS to begin scanning your overlay
NOTE: You cannot use a single switch without the Y cable. Using a single switch will only allow your switches to scan/move the scanning box and not allow you to select a key.
* The Bluetooth switch cannot be used as a traditional single switch when plugged directly into a device or toy.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: You cannot use a Bluetooth Switch plugged into another Bluetooth Switch for 2 switch access.
