Instructions for Programming Quick Phone into the Vantage/Vanguard 2.

  This shows the Quick Phone 45 location page.

  1. ANSWER/HANG-UP – Set your phone on speaker phone, select Answer/Hang-up to get a dial tone.  Select Answer/Hang-up again to hang up.
  2. REDIAL – redials the last number on the display
  3. BACKSPACE – takes a number off the display
  4. CLEAR DISPLAY – does not affect the Quick Phone, just clears the device display
  5. MEMORY KEYS 1 THRU 5 – You must program the Quick Phone memory keys to use these page keys.  Not for programming in the device.
  6. NUMBER KEY PAD – Use these numbers to dial a number that you do not have stored.

  1. Programming a number onto a page key

·        Select the set-up key on your device or select modify page from the toolbox and select the Quick Phone page you wish to modify.

·        Select a blank key on the page.

·        Select Spell Text for Message

This shows the programming page for the Quick Phone.

·        Select Insert Tool

·        Select IR

·        Select Quick Phone

·        Select Toggle

·        Select Insert Tool

·        Select IR

·        Select Quick Phone

·        Select your first number

 This shows the programming sequence for the Quick Phone.

·        Continue to program, inserting the toggle function before each numeral in the phone number that you are programming.

·        Select OK when you are finished

·        Program a label and optional icon on the key.

·        OK.

 To use the new key for a speed dial, you must select Answer/Hang-up to get a dial tone, and then your programmed key.  You may also select the programmed key to put the whole phone number on the phone display, and then select Answer/Hang-up to dial the number on the display.
