How do I Link a Playlist to an Icon Sequence in the ECO?

Video (Click play button to start.)

Once your songs are copied and stored in the ECO and a playlist is created in the MP3 menu, you can now link this playlist to an icon instead of having to enter the MP3 Player menu everytime you want to play your songs.

The example we will be using is linking a Playlist to the MP3 activity in Unity 84.

NOTE:   Make sure your music is copied to your hard drive and the USB flash drive is removed from your ECO before creating this link.

1.  With the MP3 activity open on your ECO screen and an empty key available,

select the Set-Up key (#2) on the top of your ECO case.  This is a picture of the set-up key on the ECO.

2.  Select the key you want to program your Playlist link under in the MP3 activity.

3.  Now we can create the playlist link by selecting Spell Text for Message.

Programming page in the ECO.

4.  Select Insert Tool.

This is the insert tool key in Unity 84.

5.  Choose the Tool called MP3 PLAY PLAYLIST.

This is the Play Playlist tool function.

6.  Select the playlist you want to play.  You may need to select Up Directory to find your playlist.  An example would be to select  My Documents then My Music, and select your playlist you want to add.  This step will vary depending on where you stored your playlist in the ECO.

7.  Now you will see the line in the text area containing the link to your playlist.  Select OK.

8.  Now you can Change your Icon and Label to reflect the playlist you are playing.
