Changes You May Need to Make to Your ECO After Importing Pathfinder Vocabulary.
When you are transferring Pathfinder Unity 128 files into ECO, you will need to consider the following changes.1. Color coding:
To color the parts of speech endings all at once, go to the Assign Key menu. When you are assigning the verb keys, for example, choose green, and then choose Make All Last Hits This Color.
2. Auto Spell and Spell One Word Mode
· Choose Overlay Menu: Set the User Defined Keyboard to SPELL.
· Feedback Menu: Turn Auto Spell and Spell One Word ON. Set Icon Prediction to GREY
· Access Menu: Make sure Predictive Selection is OFF.
· Settings Menu: Save your settings.
3. Copy and link desired rows and pages from ECO Unity 144.
· Choose Overlay Menu: Switch to Unity 144 Sequenced. Use the Choose Overlay Menu to copy pages and activities to your user area. Be sure to switch back to your area.
· Rename your user area. For ease of use, we suggest naming the area the user's name.
NOTE: In the final version of ECO Unity 144, we will have Setting #1 as Pathfinder Auto Spell, and Setting #2 as the QWERTY keyboard.
When you are using Pathfinder Auto Spell, you still have access to a QWERTY keyboard with the keys in the top rows. It’s in the Quick Hits
If you have just loaded a Pathfinder user area in ECO and want to copy the computer access activity rows and pages to your customized area, here is what to do:
1. Open the user area for Unity 144 Sequenced.
2. In the Choose Overlay Menu, select the option for copy pages and activities.
3. Copy the following activities to your customized area:
- Access
- F Keys
- Font Size & Edit
- Large Mouse
- Launch
- Window Size
4. Copy the following pages:
- Email Addresses
- IBM Mouse
- Media Commands
- Mouse
- My Files
- My Movies
- My Music
- Net Commands
- Outlook Express
- PG Launch
- PG Symbols
- PG Window Size
- Solitaire Commands
- SP Qwerty Top
- Spell
- Word Edit
- Word Shortcuts
Be sure to remember to switch to your customized area when you are done copying. Now you will have the benefits of having your custom vocabulary in the same area as the very useful ECO pages and activities.
