How do I Calibrate the ECO's Touch Screen?

Over time you may find that when you press keys, you don't see what you are supposed to see; or you may notice that the icons and images on the display screen don't seem to fit the display area as well as they once did. This is normal with a touch screen and can be easily fixed.

To Recalibrate the Display:

* You must be in Minspeak®, the Toolbox or a Custom Page to recalibrate your screen. You cannot do this from a menu.

1. On the top front of the case, press and hold the TOOLS key This is a picture of the tools key on the front of the ECO. while you activate the #2 USER DEFINED key

3. You see a message that tells you to press the arrow within 10 seconds.

4. With a stylus or the eraser end of a pencil,  press on the arrow in the top left corner of your screen. Press on the arrow in the bottom left corner. Press on the arrow in the top right corner. Press on the arrow in the bottom right corner.

5. You have 10 seconds to press OK in the message box on the screen.

6. If the calibration is successful, you will see a note at the top of the screen that tells you to tap the screen and wait 30 seconds while your device saves the calibrations. Tap the screen once before the time expires. If you do not see the note, repeat these steps. and wait till the screen changes and returns you to the Toolbox or wherever you started from.

Important Note: You can put a HOLD on these calibration settings by going to the Toolbox, then to Maintenance Menu, then to Hardware Diagnostics.  Now enter the Touch Screen test.  Press the TOOLBOX key on the top of the case 5 times.  You now will hear 6 beeps in return.  This verifies that your new calibration settings have been stored, so if your device looses power or is reset, you should not have to recalibrate your device.
