Easy Programming Using the Set-Up Key in the ECO.
The SET-UP Key—a ShortcutThe key labeled "2" on the top front of your device case has already been programmed for you as the SET-UP key.
When you want to modify a key, an Activity or a Page, use the SET-UP key instead of going to the Toolbox and opening the menu you need.
The SET-UP key is context sensitive which means it will open different menus/pages, depending on what you are doing:
· If you use SET-UP on a Core key, you open up the ASSIGN CORE KEY menu.
· If you use SET-UP while selecting a sequence, you open in the STORE CORE page.
· If you use SET-UP with an Activity label key, you open the MODIFY ACTIVITY menu.
· If you use SET-UP with an Activity key within an Activity, you open the Modify Item Within Activity page.
· If you use SET-UP on a Page key, you open the MODIFY PAGE menu for that page.
If you want to use the SET-UP key to store a Core vocabulary message you must use a 2 icon sequence rather than only one icon.
For example:
1. Select the first icon you want to use to store your message.
2. Press the SET-UP key.
3. Select the next icon you want to use.
4. You see the STORE CORE menu.
*PROGRAMMER'S TIP: If you have plugged a USB mouse into the device, right click on a key to see a small menu where you can select Setup. This is the same thing as pressing the SET-UP key.
