Where is my Battery Located and How do I Install a New Battery?
WARNING! Make sure the battery charger is unplugged.
Removing the Battery Door: The battery door is on the left side of the bottom case beside where you plug in the charging jack. The battery door will have 3 raised lines on it. Push in and slide the door down towards the bottom of the case.
Removing the Battery Pack: You will see a ribbon that stretches over the piece of foam attached to the battery pack.
Pull on the ribbon until the battery pack comes out of the case. IMPORTANT! Take note which side is up when removing the battery pack. Your new battery pack will need to be installed the same way.
Install the new battery pack into the case until you feel it click into place. It is re-connected when you tug gently on the ribbon and the battery remains in place. Put the battery door back on.
If you have 2.0 or 3.0 software, your device is now ready for use.
If you have an older device with 1.09 software, your device will now ask you to calibrate the touch screen. Follow the calibration cross + using a pencil eraser or stylus. Press and hold the + each time it stops moving . The unit will begin to count down from 30 seconds. Tap the screen before the timer hits 0 to save the new calibration.
Once the screen is calibrated, the Pathfinder should work properly.
