How do I Program a Macro to Turn Off the Scanning Beeps in my Liberator?
This macro will allow you to turn off the scan beeps when you are in a quiet environment like the Library. This macro is stored using the Macro Recorder.
To Turn Beep Off:
1. In your Toolbox, activate ALT + STORE . The display should read Macro Recording Started)
2. Activate FEEDBACK MENU.
3. Select 7777 (to get to screen 5).
4. Select I (Listen to/Change System Beeps).
5. Select 7 (to go to next screen).
6. Select 3 (Scan Step Beep).
7. Select 2 (Edit def inition of SCAN BEEP).
8. Activate CLEAR DISPLAY.
9. Activate SPACE (no definition for the beep: thus silence).
10. Activate STORE.
11. Select 555 (to exit from the sub-menus and menu).
12. Activate ALT + STORE.
13. Select 1 (Store Macro under Icon Sequence).
Display will read: <FEEDBACK MENU>77771732<CLEAR DISPLAY> <STORE>555
14. Activate STORE.
15. Select Icon Sequence: MUSIC THUMB DN.
16. Activate ENTER.
17. Select 5 (to Exit).
To Turn Beep On:
1. Activate ALT + STORE.
2. Activate FEEDBACK MENU.
3. Select 7777 (to get to Screen 5).
4. Select I (Listen to/Change System Beeps).
5. Select 7 (to go to next screen).
6. Select 3 (Scan Step Beep).
7. Select 3 (Go back to default SCAN BEEP).
8. Select 555 (to exit from the sub-menus and menu).
9. Activate ALT + STORE.
1O. Select I (Store Macro under Icon Sequence).
11. Display will read: <FEEDBACK MENU>77771733555
12. Activate STORE.
13. Selecticon Sequence: MUSIC THUMB UP.
14. Activate ENTER.
15. Select 5 (to Exit).
