How do I Create a Phone Activity for Special Phone Numbers in my Pathfinder?
1. Go to the Toolbox and open the ACTIVITY menu.
2. Select Create Activity then spell the name of your new activity. For example you might spell, "cellphone". Activate OK when you have finished spelling.
3. Choose an icon from one of the Icon Categories to represent the new activity . Use the More Items or Previous Items keys on your display to navigate the categories and icons.
TIP: You can use the Spell Icon To Find key to spell the first few letters of an icon name, such as CELL. Activate OK. The Pathfinder will bring up all the icons that might have the name you are looking for. Select the icon you wish to use.
Note: The icon you just created will not appear on the Modify Item Within Activity screen as you continue to create the items within the activity. It will appear in the Activity Row on your display when you have finished creating the activity and exited the menu.
4. Now you can create the phone numbers in your "Cell Phone" activity.
The first (blank) key in the activity is highlighted with a red box around it.
This will be your first activity item.
5. Select the Choose Icon option and select an icon for the key.
TIP: If the name of the icon you select represents what you want to say, you will not have to type in a message. The Pathfinder will speak the label on the icon.
6. Options: If you do not like the label for an icon, you can select the Change Label option and enter the label you wish to see.
7. Select Spell Text for Message and enter the phone number you wish to call. Select OK when finished.
Note: If you need to add a person's extension number, add a comma after the phone number then the extension number.
8. Select the next empty box to continue to create your activity and follow steps 5 - 7. When you have finished, select OK to save your changes and exit the menu.
