Transferring Memory from One DeltaTalker to Another.

Summary:  By plugging the MTI-Mac (Macintosh or MTI-6) cable in to the RS-232 ports on the top of each DeltaTalker, you can transfer vocabulary  from one DeltaTalker to another. If you do not have the MTI-Mac cable, you can order it from PRC.

To Transfer Memory from One DeltaTalker to Another:

1. Plug the MTI-Mac cable into the RS-232 connectors on the top panel of each DeltaTalker.
(The ends of the cable are the same so it doesn't matter which end goes into which connector.)

2. Remove the keyguard and overlay from each DeltaTalker. Go to the Control Panel on each DeltaTalker.

3. Activate the Tools key on each DeltaTalker. The Tool light will light up.

4. Activate the Transfer Memory key (N2) on each DeltaTalker.

5. Activate the Next Menu Item key (F1) on each DeltaTalker until you see MTI Baud Rate = > 57600 <.
The MTI baud rate must be the same on each device.

6. On the device that you want to load the memory into, (the empty device), select Next Menu Item until you see Load From Disk = No

7. Activate the Change Item key (G1). ThYou will see, Looking for Host Computer, on the display

8. On the other DeltaTalker, (device with the vocabulary), select Next Menu Item until you see Save Memory to disk = NO.

9. Activate the Change Item key once to start the loading procedure.

10. The transfer takes place automatically.

11. Select Exit on each device to close the Transfer Memory Menu.

12. Turn off the Tools light on each device.
