Why does My Device Say "IR Remote Device is Not Responding?"
Problem: Every time you try to speak a message you see the message, "IR remote device is not responding, press A1 to cancel".
Answer: The Output Method option is probably set to Infrared in your OUTPUT MENU. Your device is trying to send a signal to an Infrared Receiver of some kind. Change the Output Method to RS232 to correct this problem. See instructions below.
How do I prevent this message from appearing?
1. Select A1 on the keyboard (upper left corner key) to remove the message.
2. Activate the STATUS key twice. 
3 Select the Output Menu key from the System Menus.
4. Select the Output Method key once. The device will start to search for an IRDA device.
Select Cancel when the yellow box appears.
5. Select the Output Method key again. You should now see RS232.
6. Select OK to exit this menu. Turn the device OFF then back ON again to save this setting.
Now when you speak, the message should not appear.
