How do I teachTV commands to my SpringBoard Plus?
To learn the TV remote signal for "Power On/Off" for your particular television:
1. In the Toolbox select the IR SETUP menu.
2. In the IR SETUP menu, make sure the Device option is set to TV, then select the Modify Device key.

3. Set the Function that you want your SpringBoard to learn, for example, Power. Then select the Re-learn IR Signal option.

5. In the Text Area on your device you will see the following message:

6.
a) Aim your television's remote control at the SpringBoard Plus as pictured below.
The remote should be 3 to 5 inches away from the SpringBoard Plus.
b) Tap your remote control Power (or On/Off) button one time.
Note: Don't hold the power button down, but just push and release.
c) If you hear a beep, your SpringBoard learned the signal from your remote control.

7. If you don't here a beep, you will see a yellow message box. Select Yes and repeat steps 3-6 again until you hear a beep. Note: Try holding the remote closer to, or farther away from the IR learning area on your device. If you do not hear a beep after repeated attempts, try replacing the batteries in your remote control.

8. Test the signal on your television. Aim the IR transmitting area on your SpringBoard Plus at your television. This area is on the top back of your device.
9. Select the Test Signal button and your Television will turn On or Off.

10. You can now teach the rest of the Functions on your remote control.
Just repeat steps 3-6, (each time changing the Function option in step 3 to the one you want to teach), until you have taught the SpringBoard all the commands on your remote.
