How do I Store a Message in the Core Vocabulary?
1. Navigate to the key you wish to modify but do not select.
2. Select the Tools key then the Set-Up key from the menu.
3. Select the key you want to modify.
4. Select OK.
5. The text area will display "Choose type of message, then create message. Select Ok when finished." You will also see the icon sequence that you have chosen.
6. Select SPELL MESSAGE, or Define Key Function and type a message to go with the key. Add 2 spaces after the period. Select OK . If you selected "Record", record your message now.
7. Select Modify Last Picture and Change Label allows you to change the "look" of the icon, Change Key Color will change the background color of the icon, etc.
8. Select OK when finished.
If you want to Link to a Page instead of Programming a Message:
Follow steps 1-5 above, then
6. Select SPELL MESSAGE, or Define Key Function 
7. Activate Page Link . 
8. You see a yellow message box. 
If you select YES you will be able to go to your linked Page, make one selection from it and return automatically to your original Activity or Page.
If you select NO, you will go to the linked page and stay there.
9. You see a list of Pages. Select the one you want to link to.
Your text area will be similiar to the message above with your page name in parentheses.
10. Select Modify Last Picture and Change Label allows you to change the "look" of the icon, Change Key Color will change the background color of the icon, etc.
11. Select OK to exit.
