Create and Store macros in Accent

Tip: If you are using Unity, you can also store macros under icon sequences or assign them to keys.

· Navigate to the location where you want to add a macro to a key.

· Select the Toolbox Key then SETUP key

· Select a blank key.

· Select the Spell Message…key

· Select the INSERT TOOL key.

· Find the Tool you want to insert and select it.

· If you want to add another Tool, select INSERT TOOL and select the second tool.

If you want the device to speak some text, but you do not want to see all the directions for your key in the Text Display Area of your device screen, select INSERT TOOL and then select the PROMPT MARKER tool. This tells your device to speak whatever follows but not to speak anything that comes before it.

· Type in any text you want the device to speak.

· Select OK.

· Change the picture, label, color on your key if you like.

· Select OK when you are finished.

In the All Tools List, the OUTPUT MACRO Tool allows you to select already created computer commands instead of having to type them out yourself. The Tool, INTELLI-TOOLS BUTTON, allows you to insert Intelli-Tools buttons into macros.

Erase a Macro

You erase a macro the same way you erase a stored message.

· Navigate to where the message is stored.

· Select the TOOLS key on the front of the case and then select the SETUP key.

· Select the key where the message is stored.

· You can select the Delete Character key and use it to delete the stored message.

OR

· You can select the Clear Key Contents key.

· Select OK when you are finished.

If you select Clear Key Contents and then change your mind, immediately select the Undo Clear key.

If you make changes and then decide you want the original key settings back, select Cancel instead of OK when you exit the menu.
