Keep the Accent Running Smoothly with Automatic Updates
Windows Updates are crucial in keeping your Accent running smoothly on the Integrated side. The default setting for updates is set to Every day at 3:00 AM found under Start, Control Panel, System and Security then Windows Update. This requires you to leave the Accent ON, WiFi connected, and charging overnight for these updates to take place and properly update your Windows software. If the updates take place in the middle of the night, the user will be less inconvenienced by this process, and should avoid the risk of the updates running during the day.
You also will want to check when your Anti-Virus software is set to run the scans. If Running Microsoft Security Essentials, default is set to run a Quick Scan on Sunday at 2:00 AM. You may want to change this setting to Daily at 2:00 AM to insure better protections.
Prentke Romich Company also recommends that you fully shutdown the Accent 2 to 3 times a week either by entering the Maintenance Menu in Toolbox, then to Windows Power Management and select Shutdown Windows OR by minimizing the NuVoice software to the START key to Shut Down.
Note: When you Shutdown Windows completely, you must use the back On/Off button to power the device back on.
