How often should I Charge my Batteries in the Accent?
Here are some good charging guidelines to follow that will ensure your Accent 1200 is charged and ready for use.
1. Charge the Accent overnight, every night.
2. Charge the Accent whenever it’s not in use during the day, if practical.
3. Charging the batteries often and frequently will not deteriorate battery life or performance.
4. If the Accent 1200 is not going to be used for an extended period of time, such as over a weekend or during spring or summer break, the unit should be powered down using the “Power Off” button in the Tool Box or the Windows “Shut Down” option from the Desktop. To re-start the Accent 1200 hold the main power button in the back of the device OR put the device in Shipping Mode located in the Toolbox, under Maint. Menu found under Battery Menu. To re-start the Accent 1200 plug in the battery charger, then hold the main power button in the back of the device.
NOTE: In Sleep Mode, while the screen goes dark and is inactive, the Accent is still drawing power from the battery. If the Accent is powered down using Windows Shutdown, Hibernate, or put into Shipping Mode, the batteries will maintain charge much longer although will still slowly drain. However, to turn the Accent 1200 ON you will need to plug in the battery charger and use the main power button on the back of the device and wait while it goes through the normal Window start up routine.
