Using the Eyegaze Shim

You received a Positioning Shim with your eyegaze unit. This allows you to tip your eyegaze unit up or down 5 degrees. If you cannot achieve the two small dots near the center of the user’s pupils, try adding the shim to the eyegaze unit.
Turn the Accent Off. Unscrew and remove the eyegaze unit from your device.
If you want to tilt up 5 degrees, place the shim so that you can read the “5 degree up” writing. If you want 5 degrees down, place it so you can read the “5 degrees down” writing.
Place the shim on the eyegaze unit so that the holes in the shim and the holes in the unit are aligned.
Replace the eyegaze unit on the bracket and tighten the screws.
Plug the USB cord back in, remount your device on your table stand or wheelchair mount.
Turn your device ON.
Open the Toolbox, select ACCESS METHOD MENU and then select Eyegaze.
