Hide and Show Keys in Accent
Some people who begin with Unity 1-Hit versions need a simpler appearance with fewer choices. By using the hide/show key features, you are able to establish and maintain motor patterns, as well as greatly reduce the programming demands, even as the user’s vocabulary increases.
To Hide Core Keys
1. Select the Toolbox key (hammer/ screwdriver) on the device frame then select Setup Key from the Drop Down Menu.
2. Select Hide/Show Keys in the menu bar in the upper right.
3. Select the keys you wish to hide. Keys selected now will be gray.
4. Select the text area to exit and your keys are now hidden.
To Hide Activities:
1. Navigate to the Activity you wish to modify..
2. Select the Toolbox key (hammer/ screwdriver) on the device frame then select Setup key from the Drop Down Menu.
3. Select Hide/Show Keys in the menu bar in the upper right.
4. Press the keys you wish to hide in the activity - keys will turn gray.
5. Select the text area to exit and your keys are now hidden.
To Hide Keys on a Page
1. Navigate to the Page you wish to modify.
2. Select the Toolbox key (hammer/ screwdriver) on the device frame then select Setup key from the Drop Down Menu.
3. Select Hide/Show Keys in the menu bar in the upper right.
4. Select the keys you wish to hide - keys will now be gray.
5. When finished, select the text area to exit.
Use the same steps to show keys again, except press the gray keys so they become white.
