Vocabulary Builder Menu Options
Main Menu Options:
Word List
Select this option to load, merge, delete, rename or backup a World List.
Load Word List
This replaces everything currently in the UnmaskedWords and Phrases list with the Word List you have selected.
Merge Word List
This adds words to the words already in the Unmasked Words/Phrases window.
Delete Word List
This deletes any Word List you select. Once deleted, a Word List is no longer available anywhere in the device.
Rename Word List
This allows you to rename any Word List.
Backup (Word List only)
This backs up a list to your USB drive.
Select this option to load, merge, delete or rename a Sequence Set.
This replaces everything currently in the Unmasked Words and Phrases list with the Sequence Set you have selected.
This adds words or sequences to the words or sequences already in the UnmaskedWords and Phrases window.
This deletes a Sequence Set from its User Area.
This allows you to give a Sequence Set a new name.
Import New List (Word)
This allows you to import a new Word List from a USB drive or, if you are using PASS, from a computer.
Word List
When you select this, any words in the Unmasked Words/Phrases window will be saved as Word List (.txt. file.) When you next open this list you will see the words you selected and all the sequences that are possible for those words.
When you select this, any words and sequences in the Unmasked Window will be saved as a Sequence Set. When you next load this Sequence Set, you will see only those words and sequences you have selected.
Searches the Masked Words/Phrases window for phrases made up of words in the Unmasked window. It will move these phrases from the Masked window to the Unmasked window; e.g.: if "I" "can" and "not" are in the Unmasked window, Include All Phrases will find and unmask phrases like "I can" and "I can not."
Moves highlighted words and sequences from the Masked window list to the Unmasked list.
Moves highlighted words and sequences from the Unmasked to the Masked window list.
Moves all words and sequences from the Masked to the Unmasked window. This unmasks all the keys in your User Area.
Moves all words and sequences from the Unmasked to the Masked list. This masks all the keys in your User Area except Basic Tools.
Words Only
You see lists as words in alphabetical order; no icons are visible.
Icons & Words
You see lists as both words and icons.
Words
Lists are sorted alphabetically.
First Icon
Lists are grouped by their starting icon and the icon's placement on your CORE.
Last Icon
Lists are grouped by their ending icon and the icon's placement on your CORE.
Windows Style
This is the default. Vocabulary Builder menus look like Windows-style menus.
PRC Style
If you like PRC device-style menus, select this option.
Find Unmasked Word/Find Masked Word
Make certain you have selected to sort your list by Words (<Word Order> should be visible under the two windows. )
These options allow you to type part of a word or phrase (or the whole thing) to find. You can only find one word or phrase at a time.
If Vocabulary Builder finds an exact match it highlights it. Otherwise, it takes you to the first word that starts with what you typed. This is not highlighted.
Spell to Mask /Spell to Unmask
You can type a single word/phrase or multiple words and phrases using these options. Separate multiple words and phrases with commas. These options automate the process of locating, selecting, and moving sequences from one window to the other.
Turns On Masking on the Fly
OK
Closes the VOCABULARY BUILDER MENU.
Select ON if you want your vocabulary to be masked when you leave the Vocabulary Builder Menu. Select OFF if you want your complete vocabulary to be visible.
Note: When you leave this menu your work will be saved, but it will only take effect when Vocabulary Builder is ON.
