Adding a Word to Abbreviation Expansion in Word Prediction
Abbreviation Expansion is found in the Word Prediction MenuAdd an Abbreviation Expansion
Depending on the MAP you are using, your key names may be slightly different; they may also be on available on your MAP.
Select the Add an Abbreviation key. |
· You see: (your Text Display Area will be blank)

· Enter the letters for your abbreviation. In this example we used "idk".
· Select the OK key |
· Your display asks you to "enter the text to substitute"
· Enter the word or words for your expanded abbreviation. In this example, we want "idk" to stand for "I don't know."
· Select the OK key |
You return to the Abbreviation Expansion Menu.
Now when you enter "idk" your device will display and speak, "I don't know."
Delete an Abbreviation Expansion
· To delete an abbreviation and its expansion select the Delete an Abbreviation option.
· Type in the abbreviation you want to delete.
· Select the OK key .
The abbreviation and its expansion will be deleted.
If you select the REVIEW TO DISPLAY key , you can see all the abbreviations you have added to your device.
Select the OK key to exit Abbreviation Expansion.
Select OK again to exit the Word Prediction Menu.
