Installing a Touchguide on Accent
If you want to use a Keyguard or a Touchguide you must add the Keyguard Frame to your device. To do this, you must remove the handle from your device.Remove the Handle
|
Unscrew and remove the screws on either side of the handle. Lift the handle off the device.
Add the Keyguard Frame
|
Slide the bottom edge of the Keyguard Frame into the strap holder slots on the bottom of your device.
TIP: If you are using a carry strap, you do not have to remove the strap connectors. The frame will fit around the post above the the connector loops.

Close-up of frame and one of the strap holder slots the frame fits into

Press down on top of frame until it clicks into place. Replace handle or screw in separate screws.
When the frame is in the bottom slots, the top of the frame will flop down over the top of your device. Push down on the frame top until it clicks into place.
You can now replace the handle.
If you would rather not have the handle on the device
A small bag with two extra screws in it was packed in your device box. Find this bag and remove the screws.
Place the screws in the two holes where the handle went. Tighten the screws. These screws help hold the Keyguard Frame in place and keep your device from having two holes in it.
Installing The Touchguide
Note: You cannot use both a Keyguard and a Touchguide at the same time. You must select on or the other.
The pictures below show a PRC Vantage™ Lite. The instructions are exactly the same for the Accent.
|
Insert one of the tabs on the bottom of the Touchguide into its matching slot on the Keyguard Frame.
Bend the Touchguide until you can slide the other bottom tab into its slot.
Bend the Touchguide and slip one of the top tabs into its slot at the top of the Keyguard Frame. Repeat to insert the other top tab.
Slide the Touchguide so that it fits evenly over the display. You may want to turn your device On at this point and align the Touchguide with your MAP icons.
To Remove the Touchguide

Insert a toothpick under the small notch at the top center of the Touchguide and lift up. The Touchguide will pop off.
NOTE: When lifting the Touchguide, do not use anything that will scratch your display.
