Why do my Songs not Sing in the Singing Page?
If you like using one of the RealSpeak or AT&T voices but also like to sing the DecTalk songs on the Singing Page, you can simply use the Settings Menu to save your current voice in Settings 1 then change the Voice to DecTalk and save as Settings 2. You can also program in 2 toggle keys that can take you from Settings 1 to Settings 2 easily without having to enter the Toolbox.
The SETTINGS MENU in the Toolbox allows you to set up to 3 different groups of settings and then save the settings for each group under a key or an icon sequence. The settings you select from the Toolbox menus with blue titles can be saved.
(The menus are: AUDITORY PROMPT, FEEDBACK, OUTPUT, ACCESS METHOD, SPEECH, and WORD PREDICTION).
To Save Settings:
1. Select the settings you want in the menus listed above.
2. Open the SETTINGS MENU in the Toolbox.
3. Select a Save Settings key. For example: Save #1 Settings.
4. You see: "Are you sure you want to save settings under #1?"
5. Select YES or NO.
6. Select OK.
When you want to use one of your settings, open the SETTINGS MENU and select the Use Settings key that you want.
Store the "Use Settings" Keys on your MAP
Depending on the MAP you are using, pre-stored Use Settings keys may be part of your set-up wizard.
If they are not part of a Setup Wizard, you can copy your Use Settings keys and store them under keys or icon sequences on your MAP. When you do this, you do not have to go to the Toolbox each time you want to change to different settings. You can also assign your settings to a specific key using one of the ASSIGN KEY menus.
To Program an Easy Link to a Use Settings Key:
1. Go to the location where you would like to store the Use Settings Tool.
2. Select the Tools key on the top of the case, then Setup Key.
3. Choose the key you wish to program the key under.
4. Select Spell Message or Define Key Function.

5. Select Insert Tool. Here you find many tools listed, select More Items until you find Settings 1, 2, or 3. Select the Settings you wish to use. The Settings 1 tool is the same as the Use #1 Settings in the Settings Menu.
6. Select Insert Tool then choose the tool called OK.
7. Again, select Insert Tool then choose the tool called OK. Your Text bar should look like this on the programming spelling page.

8. Select OK to exit the programming spelling page.
9. Change Icon and Label so you know this key changes you to Settings 1.
10. You may want to modify another key as Settings 2 or 3 if you are toggling between 2 different Settings options. Such at Settings 1 with a DEC voice to sing and Settings 2 with an Acapela voice. If so, Choose Next Key to Define then follow steps 3 – 9
11. Select OK to exit.
