Restoring the ECO2 to an Earlier Point with Windows 7

If you use a lot of Windows™  programs and have additional third party software added to your ECO, you may experience Windows errors that may affect the use of Windows and your ECO software.  Before running a System Restore CD, which will erase all your programming, you may want to perform the task of Restore my computer to an earlier time tool, found in the System Restore menu.  This allows you to pick a time prior to the day that you started to experience problems.

You can use System Restore to undo harmful changes to your computer and restore its settings and performance.  System Restore returns your computer to an earlier time, called a restore point, without causing you to lose recent work, such as saved documents, third party software, pictures and music.

Your computer automatically creates restore points, called system checkpoints, but you can also use System Restore to create your own restore points.   This is useful if you are about to make a major change to your system, such as installing a new program or changing your registry.

To use System Restore in Window™  go to START,  ACTION CENTER,  RECOVERY,  to OPEN SYSTEM RESTORE.

You may also want to Create a Restore Point when programs are running smoothly so you have a restore point to fall back on.

If your System Restore does not resolve the problems you are experiencing, then you may need to run the PRC ECO System Restore CD.  Do not try to reload Windows on your ECO from the Microsoft Windows CD.  This will result in sending your device back for servicing.

You may also opt to Undo my last restoration if the restore process does not correct the problem you are experiencing.
