Adding a Customized Area to Spanish Bilingual

Very important! If you are upgrading your device by inserting a new memory card for Spanish, do these steps first with your old card still in the device.

If you already have an English speaking user area customized in Unity, you may want to add this area to your Spanish Vantage Lite. For example if you are speaking with Unity 60 Sequenced and you have your own user area, you can use it instead of one of the English areas in the bilingual Vantage or Vanguard.

NOTE:  If you have customized Infrared Commands programmed in your device these commands will not be saved when transferring One User Area.

Here are the directions for adding in your customized area:

Transfer the memory of your English-speaking area

1. Put a USB drive into your device.

2. Go to the ToolBox, then to the Transfer Memory Menu.

3. Select Save One User Area.

4. Select your customized user area.

5. Follow the prompts on the screen to save your area to the USB drive.

Next put in the new Spanish memory card and reset your device by holding down the on/off key for 20 seconds.

Load your Customize Vocabulary back into the device:

1. Put the USB drive into your device.
