Remove the door.

You see the battery pack plugged in.

Lift the battery pack out of the case.  Just rest it on the edge of the case until you unplug it.

Unplugging battery connector

Unplug the battery pack by grasping the red and black wires as close to the plug as possible. Gently wiggle and pull on the wires until the plug comes out of its socket.  Do not yank or use force on the wires.

Now turn your device so that the side panel with the picture of thin rectangles labeled A, B and C is facing towards you.

Opening card door.

Open the door that covers the side panel. See the picture above and below.

Software card location

When the door is opened, you can see the system software card in its slot. There is a tape tab on the end of the card.

Removing the software card.

Pull on the tape tab to remove the software card. Notice the slot the card was in.

If you want to keep the old card, put it in a safe place.

Installing new card.

Find the new card that came with this update.  Place it in the same slot the old card was in. The side with CE on it should be facing up and the piece of tape should be pointing toward you.  Push the card into the slot until you feel some resistance. Push past the resistance until the card will go no further.  If you pull very gently on the tape, the card should not come out.  If it does, re-seat it.  Then shut the side panel door.

Now turn the device so the empty battery area is facing you.

Plugging battery pack back in.

Plug the battery back in. Make sure the plug is securely attached in the socket.

Reattaching battery door.

Replace the battery back in the case. Fold the wires if necessary to make them fit between the end of the battery pack and the device case.

Reattaching battery door.

Put the battery door back on. Replace and tighten the screws.  Replace the wire stand.

Your device will automatically restart and load the new software.
