Scanning in PASS
The PASS software is not designed for evaluation purposes. It is recommended that to fully try the scanning process with a client that you use an actual device and the switch.
However, you can use keyboard keys to demonstrate the different types of scanning methods. These keyboard keys vary, depending on the PASS version and device type you are using. To find out what keys to use for scanning, open your PASS software, then select F1 to open the PASS manual. Here you will find the section A NOTE ABOUT USING SWITCHES or similar. Click on this option to learn more about scanning settings and keys.
To scan in PASS, you must also set the Access Method Menu to a scanning type found under Choose Different Access Method. You can use either 1 Switch or 2 Switch. Default under Current Access Method is Touch.
Important Note: Most PASS programs use keys Ctrl and Shift. See Key control description below as an example.
